Android, Inc. Was founded in Paul Alto, California (U.S.A) in October 2003 by Andy Rubin, Rich Miner, Nick Sears and Chris White. At first the company intended to develop OS for Digital Cameras but later diverted into mobile OS.

Accroding to Google, published in 2014, over one billion people use Android OS on their Devices. The Highest selling OS in year 2012, 2013, 2014 was entitled to Android. In Google Play, official store of Android, got 1 Million applications published with 50 billion download upto year 2013.
Android’s latest release is 5.0.2 Lollipop published on December 19, 2014.
